IT’S HERE!
The First Egg!
Yesterday I noticed that one of the Barred Rock pullets was missing. So, on a hunch, I went out to the coop and lo, she was in the nest box! After about 10-20 minutes of watching, leaving, peeking, leaving, looking, etc. I went in and there was this perfect little egg under her!
I’m pretty sure it was Sabrina. I’m so proud of her!
How now, brown...egg.

The first egg is so exciting! We have a variety of chickens and get several different colors too. Congratulations to Sabrina.
Yes it is! All of mine will lay brown eggs; that’s our favorite.
That first egg is VERY exciting. You wait and wait and wait and think it will never come, but then it finally does.
Yes! One of the other hens laid an egg yesterday as well!
